The University of Managment and Design attended the two day educational fair and exposition in the Chinese city of Xi'an. In keeping with its international aspirations to attract university students from all around the world, UMD was pleased to be represented at this important student recruitment fair. Also, attending were universities from the USA, the UK, Turkey (www,plato.edu.tr), Switzerland and Malaysia.

During this occasion, UMD signed an agent agreement with a local Chinese company, "Shaanxi Northwest Central Asia Business Co. Ltd.", to recruit and assist students to study abroad in Kyrgyzstan. The ceremony was recorded by local Chinese TV, where UMD's Director gave a welcoming speech.

"We were very happy to come to Xi'an and have the opportunity to talk to school leavers and students; to understand their ambitions, needs and where UMD can help them to achiveve these." said Mr. Browne, UMD's Director. He went on to say, "We are very encouraged by the welcome we have received here in China, and the positive reaction from prospective students. I am sure this will be the first of many visits to China."

Regarding the agreement with the local agent, UMD's Director said, "UMD is very happy to have found such a professional company to assist UMD in its aims to recruit Chinese students, and to help them to study with UMD."
