At the start of the 2010/2011 academic year, UMD welcomed 30 freshmen to campus during Orientation Week and the Knowledge Day.

A well-respected international magazine Open Central Asia published an article Bringing UK Education to Central Asia that featured the distinguishes of the University of Management and Design.

The University of Management and Design has been appointed as an official testing centre for the University of London, UK.

UMD enrolment tests are available daily from 11am. You can register by phoning UMD on (0312) 44-31-21  to reserve your place, or simply come to the University at 10.45am.

The University of Management and Design went out on the street to inform prospective students about UMD.

UMD's next enrolment tests will be on the 10th and 17th July from 10.45am.  Just come to UMD by 10.45am and register for the test at the reception desk.

UMD attended the Shaanxi International Educational Expo. in Xi'an, China, 23rd and 24th June 2010.

The world renowned Kyrgyz Artist exhibits at UMD. The opening ceremony was held on the 11th June.

The University of Management and Design Welcomes the British Embassador and the British Cultural Attaché to UMD's Campus.

Mr. Tolga Yazici, the Chairman of University of Management and Design, and his delegation visited Universities in Beijing and Xian in China.

For the last week or so Bishkek school studentshave been visiting UMD.

UMD has been officially approved as a BTEC UK Diploma Centre. British BTEC Diplomas are recongnised throughout the world to both international universities and employers.

On the 8th and 22nd May students may register for entrance examinations to study at UMD in September 2010, autumn semester.

On the 20th April, UMD signed a protocol agreement with Plato College of Higher Education, Istanbul, Turkey.

UMD in line with its committment to continuing education, is pleased to annouce the opening of its Summer School and to present the educational and cultural programme for Summer 2010.

UMD takes part in the International Private Education Conference 2010 which is organised by IFC (International Finance Corporation) in Washington D.C.

UMD attended on Saturday 27th March, an educational fair, which was well attended by students despite the rainy weather.

The UK Accrediting authority (BTEC) delivers training to UMD's experts.

The Turkish Ambassador to Bishkek, His Excellency Mr. Nejat Akcal, visited UMD on the 11^th of March and met with staff and faculty

The English Language Centre at UMD held its first English language class and open demonstration on Thursday, 11 March, to the delight of many students who have been eager to learn or improve their English at the University of Management and Design.

The Director of Academic Affairs, Mr Browne, met with Mr. Shairpov the Kyrgyz cosmonaut who expressed his wishes and good luck to the University of Management and Design.

On January 30^th the University of Management and Design opened its doors to prospective students.

Official opening ceremony of UMD took place at the Kyrgyz National Opera and Ballet House with a concert of Chuy Chamber Orchestra on 20th January 2010.
